Atlas Arteria (ALX), a global owner, operator, and developer of toll roads, manages some of the world’s most significant transport infrastructure across France, Germany, and the United States. One of its flagship assets, the Dulles Greenway in Northern Virginia, is operated under concession by Toll Road Investors Partnership II LP (TRIP II).

In 2020, ALX and TRIP II partnered with Asset Vision to deliver a comprehensive, cloud-based asset management platform designed to bring greater visibility, efficiency, and innovation to the Dulles Greenway’s operations and maintenance program.

Why Asset Vision Was Selected

The Dulles Greenway spans 14 miles, connecting Washington Dulles International Airport with Leesburg, Virginia. Managing this critical private toll road requires complete visibility across assets including bridges, barriers, gantries, signs, culverts, vegetation, and facilities.

TRIP II and ALX sought a solution that could centralise the entire asset register and maintenance history, support inspection and maintenance workflows with mobile accessibility, integrate advanced technology for AI-based asset identification, enable efficient remote collaboration amid the global COVID-19 pandemic, and deliver a scalable foundation for long-term infrastructure lifecycle management.

Asset Vision was selected for its ability to combine data-driven asset management with practical tools for inspection, compliance, and reporting — all within a flexible, cloud-native environment.

The implementation of Asset Vision provided ALX and TRIP II with:

Implementation Approach

Delivered entirely remotely during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the project showcased the strength of both teams’ collaboration. Despite the distance and logistical challenges, the platform was successfully implemented on schedule — a testament to strong communication, agile project management, and shared commitment to innovation.
